Why 80s nostalgia is misplaced, part 17,312: A Fairmont with swoopy saggy fenders, a fake convertible roof, a fake convertibilized fake spare tire hump, power windows, leather seats and a prissy little clock in the middle of the dash is still a POS.
You disparage a car with such classic lines? Just look at the elegance of the rear bumper, the curves in the fender panels so subtle that they can’t be seen…..
I said I kinda liked it (in the context of the times). 20 years later, though, it’s a WTF moment as a consumer and a car nut.
At least it’s better than this
