DESTIN, Fla. – Beer connoisseurs might want to belly up to a bar in Phoenix. The city is one of three nationwide taste-testing a new line of flavored beer by Anheuser-Busch.
The Ninth Street Market beers feature three fruit flavors: pomegranate-raspberry, lime-cactus and blood orange-grapefruit. They went on sale in Destin last week.
The orange and the pomegranate flavors both picked up medals at the 2005 North American Beer Awards.
Bartenders say response to the fruit-flavored beers so far has been favorable.
San Diego and Destin, Florida, are the other test markets. A nationwide release date for the premium beers has not been scheduled.
that’s just wrong.
