The Little Brown Jug

College football’s oldest rivalry trophy is “at stake” again tomorrow. Since Michigan leads the series 67–23–3, “at stake” is a theoretical concept in most seasons.

Why is this notable? Because I skipped the 1986 clash when the evil gopher bastards ended Michigan’s undefeated season with a rare Ann Arbor win. And because in 1988, 8 barrel and I were outed as “crackers” by some trailer trash fan who stole their seats behind us.
Rain, watching the 2nd half in some hotel bar and crashing Pod and Dribble’s fancy pasta dinner on the town were also involved. As was beer. Copious amounts, oddly enough.
