Michigan slipped in front of Southern California into second-place in the Bowl Championship Standings on Sunday, but there’s no reason for the Trojans to worry.

I think you misread the scrolls on that last part. U am not counting on a #1/#2 matchup until 3 more actual wins are in hand. This IS a LLLoyd Carr team, killer defense or not.
Still, it is fanfuckingtastic to see order restored in the Big 2/9.
