From I-94, it’s not so impressive; from space it kicks ass. Obviously the little squiggly roads came AFTER they invented God’s Own Chariot the Plymouth Fury.

Notice in the upper left, the high-speed “Kalmbach” corner section of I-94; part of the Milwaukee’s Best 100 Mile Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor Classic race.
I remember when the Kalmbach curve was “the shit.” Then, I moved to Colorado. Now that I am in the land of the relentless cardinal direction grid, it looks like the shit all over again.
I think I am 1-12 in that race, my one win coming after an afternoon at Jonathan B’s pub (home of the “Last Call“) with Pod.
